New British Slang: "Try It On" Example: On St. Patrick's Day my friend's left to go to another bar for a bit, and I was left alone with a nice but very touchy feely gentleman (we were all wasted and I'm not sure if I even knew that they had left). When my friend Lucy left the bar she asked her friend if I would be alright with "John". Her friend replied, "He's a nice guy. He'll probably try it on, but she'll be fine."
Apparently, it's a very common phrase.. but think about how dirty that sounds.

Sounds like an interesting St. Patty's day. I miss the drinking. And sorry you got stuck with "touchy feely guy". I've been known to be one of those when i'm drunk, and i've been told how annoying it can be.
