Dang. I can't believe I haven't posted in a year.
Today, my dad emailed me with another far-right PowerPoint presentation and this note:
"I know how you feel about me!!! I can deal with that. OUR Country is in danger. I am not a fan of McCain but can you live with a socialist/communist Pres? My days are over, can YOU live with his future? If elected? There will be more Terror in the US and exponential , results on the economy, policy etc. If you vote for or against a candidate on one issue is a foolish move. This isn't American Idol. This is American Future."
Ummm... then why have I been listening to Paula Abdul's advice on cap-and-trade policies?
I'm not sure if my "one issue" is love for black people or women's rights, but something upsets me. No, it's not that my dad thinks I have a trivial understanding of the importance of a presidential election. It's that he's not sure if I know when American Idol season starts!!! My television-watching reputation is beyond reproach. I won't stand for this.
